In the dead of winter, nothing brightens things up like a shock of vibrant, in-your-face color. Even the drabbest days caused by the dullest weather suddenly seem tolerable if there’s a bold purse on your arm. I like anything with a pinkish background, such as the enigmatic fuchsia that makes this Coach Peyton Embossed Exotics Carryall such a standout. Without the color, it’s still a pretty decent purse – chic and very practical, with a great shape and smooth leather. It’s also available in black and ivory if you prefer something simpler, but I’d opt for this in an instant. Available for $448

A clear indication that the ’80s are alive and well, this Coach Poppy Rhinestone Extra Large Shoulder Bag is a standout thanks to a smattering of sparkling jewels along the front and back. It’s a little strange looking to me, partially because the rhinestones spell out “COACH” in giant letters (tres tacky) and because logo fabric just doesn’t seem to pair well with all that bling. I’m no expert, but I suspect this Coach purse won’t be end up being a big crowd favorite. Available for $548

It’s springtime at Coach, which can mean only one thing: color, chaos and plenty of mouthwatering purses to choose from. First up: the Coach Poppy Graffiti Applique Glam Tote, which is brazen, but subtly so if that’s possible. The graffiti applique is very girly, incorporating plenty of hearts and flowers in its mix. But it’s also toned down because it’s not terribly bright and adorns Coach’s signature fabric in beige. A cute little heart charm and fabric bundle dangle from one end of the multicolored shoulder strap. It’s a playful choice for a woman who either loves vivacious accessories or needs one bold piece to accent her otherwise neutral wardrobe. Available for $268
